Stoke have announced that 20-year-old defender Ritchie De Laet has moved to Manchester United and signed a three-year deal.

The clubs have agreed a performance-related payment package for the player, who spent the early part of the season on loan at Wrexham.

De Laet joined Stoke from Royal Antwerp in August 2007 but never made a first-team appearance.
