Manchester United transfer news: Aaron Wan-Bissaka price tag set as Crystal Palace remain steadfast over £70m value
The Eagles have so far resisted two bids for the England Under-21 international
Crystal Palace remain completely unmoving in their valuation of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, meaning Manchester United will ultimately have to match it if they are to finally secure the defender.
The Old Trafford club have had two bids knocked back already by Palace, both of which have fallen well short of the set price of around £70 million.
United had initially been hoping to prise the 22-year-old away from Selhurst Park for £25m, and then £50m following Palace's initial resistance. But Palace have remained steadfast in their stance.
They have no need to sell Wan-Bissaka, so it will ultimately be up to United to match their valuation.
Tottenham Hotspur are not currently seen as in the race for the player.
United meanwhile have begun talks over a move for Issa Diop, though West Ham want to keep the centre-back.
After talks begun, the Hammers made an enquiry for Anthony Martial in exchange for Diop, indicationg during initial talks that they may be willing to do business if Martial comes the other way.

The French striker has had an inconsistent spell at Old Trafford since signing in 2015, and there has been an ongoing debate over whether he should be sold – especially under Jose Mourinho – but club officials are generally of the view that his talent is worth persisting with.
As of their last discussions, United were not willing to let Martial go. It is likely going to take a significant cash bid – possibly over £60m – to prise the highly-rated Diop away from West Ham.
