Adnan Januzaj will be used as bait by Manchester United to lure PSV Eindhoven forward Memphis Depay this summer, according to reports.

PSV have confirmed that United had enquired about the 21-year-old, who is rated at £25m.

Depay has scored 21 league goals this season as PSV charged to the Eredivisie title.

It has been claimed that Januzaj will move to the Dutch side on a season-long loan as part of the deal.

The much-coveted Depay had also interested Liverpool, with the Reds set to rival United for the player.

A season-long loan move for Januzaj, however, could swing the pendulum in United's favour, with PSV's sporting director Marcel Brands previously saying how highly he rates the Belgium international.

“If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move,” Brands said.
