Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho warns Real Madrid against David de Gea transfer
Mourinho believes Madrid would be wasting their time if they pursued his player

Jose Mourinho has warned Real Madrid that they should not waste their time by trying to sign David de Gea this summer.
The Manchester United goalkeeper, regarded by many as the world’s best in his position, came close to moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015 only for the transfer to collapse at the eleventh hour.
De Gea subsequently signed a new four-year contract at Old Trafford, worth approximately £200,000-a-week, though that deal is now set to expire at the end of next season.
Madrid retain an interest in signing the 27-year-old but United intend to tie him down to renewed terms and Mourinho is confident his goalkeeper will remain in Manchester.
“I see him [De Gea] staying here,” Mourinho told Spanish TV channel La Sexta. “I do not know Real Madrid's intentions but, if I were them, I would think of another player.”
Madrid-born De Gea will face Spanish opposition on Tuesday night when United meet Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
United returned from the Stadion Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan with a 0-0 draw three weeks ago and hope to join rivals Manchester City and Liverpool in the quarter finals.
