Premier League transfer round up 12th January: Manchester clubs battle over Sanchez

Manchester United target Lucas Moura has revealed “it’s the end” of his time at Paris Saint-Germain and talked up his desire to move to the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to bolster his attack and that is expected to happen in the next 48 hours with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal for a fee of around £35m.

However, he could have two this week after long-term target Lucas admitted he didn’t think he would stay at PSG after the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have limited him to playing just 79 minutes of football this season.

The 25-year-old was a target for Sir Alex Ferguson’s United before he joined the Parisians but he has now decided that the Premier League will be his next destination.

“I do not think I'm going to stay,” he said. “Unfortunately, it's the end for me in Paris. I like the English championship.

“The English league is the most hotly contested in the world, it's going to depend (on several factors).

“I’m going to sit down with my family and see what God has decided for me.”
