Marouane Fellaini’s representatives are anticipating a second offer from Manchester United, although it is currently felt that the two sides are too far apart.

The midfielder’s camp have already turned down one offer, and have interest from several clubs in Spain, Italy and Turkey.

Jose Mourinho wants to keep a player he sees as hugely useful, and the 30-year-old enjoys working with the Portuguese, but he and representatives see his next deal as the potential last big contract of his career.

They are currently hoping for around £125,000 a week, but United are highly unlikely to pay that.

Valencia, Besiktas and Juventus are understood to be among the clubs who have declared interest in Fellaini, although the Italian champions are more likely to move for Emre Can of Liverpool.

With the midfielder’s current deal up at the end of the season, he is free to talk to non-English clubs about a potential Bosman deal for the summer.
