Manchester United transfer news: Romelu Lukaku speaks for the first time after sealing Inter Milan move
Antonio Conte's men finally struck a deal that it is understood is worth in the region of £73.75million and includes a sell-on clause
Romelu Lukaku has revealed Inter Milan are the only club he wanted to leave Manchester United for.
Just two years after arriving at Old Trafford from Everton, the 26-year-old this summer made clear his desire to move to pastures new.
Antonio Conte's men finally struck a deal that it is understood is worth in the region of £73.75million and includes a sell-on clause.
Lukaku has signed a contract until 2024 with Inter and hopes to take them back to the top of the Italian game.
"Inter were the only club I wanted, because Inter is Not For Everyone," he said after the deal was officially announced.
"I’m here to bring the Nerazzurri back to the top."
Despite late links to Juventus' Mario Mandzukic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be comfortable with the options at his disposal and is only interested in signing the 'right' player, rather than any replacement for Lukaku.
The development of young, attacking players such as Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong has also persuaded Solskjaer that they can contribute to the first-team this season.
Lukaku leaves the Premier League after scoring 113 goals in spells with Chelsea, West Brom, Everton and United.
