Manchester United transfer news: Inter Milan going ‘all out’ to sign Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian striker’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has met with officials at the Italian club
Romelu Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has confirmed that Inter Milan are going “all out” in their pursuit of the Manchester United striker.
Pastorello – who met executives of the Italian club in Milan on Wednesday night – told Sky in Italy: “I spoke with the director [Giuseppe Marotta] to understand the club’s intentions with the player.
“They will take the decisions, we can’t put a time frame on it. What is clear is that if Inter want the player, they will need to get a move on.”
Lukaku joined Manchester United from Everton in 2017 and impressed in his first season with the Red Devils, but struggled for form in his second term.
The Belgian striker is a key target for new Inter boss Antonio Conte, who also attempted to sign Lukaku when he was head coach of Chelsea, before the 26-year-old forward ultimately opted for a move to Manchester.
“Inter are seriously trying to sign [Lukaku],” Pastorello said.
“They are all out for him. Goals are not always there to be reached, but it’s a declared target.
“At the moment, it remains a complicated dream.”
Lukaku returned to training with United this week, despite the uncertainty around his future.
