The Manchester United and Liverpool target Memphis Depay can be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Ronald de Boer.
The former Holland midfielder De Boer, now assistant manager of Ajax, also believes that United will edge Liverpool for the signature of the PSV Eindhoven forward, who is "technically unbelievable" and "has everything".
"I don't want to say which club is more suitable for him, but if he goes to United he knows there is a Dutch coach there who knows him from the World Cup. That is an advantage," said De Boer.
"He is one of the biggest talents in Europe," De Boer, 44, added. "He has skill compared to a young Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSV confirmed this week that United had enquired about the 21-year-old, who is rated at £25m.
Depay scored 20 league goals this season as PSV charged to the Eredivisie title.
