Miguel open to future Liverpool switch

Valencia's Portugal international defender Luis Miguel has spoken of his fondness of Premier League outfit Liverpool.

The full-back has admitted he has a soft spot for the Merseysiders and, with international team-mate Raul Meireles now at the Anfield club, he would consider a move in the future.

But with Los Che flying high at the start of the La Liga campaign, he wants to stay and win some silverware this term.

"Liverpool are a team that I admire and I have a friend there now in Raul Meireles," he said.

"Liverpool have always been my favourite English team and I have a lot of passion for them.

"But, I'm fine here and hope everything goes well for Valencia and we can win some trophies this year."
