Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says that even a bid of 60million euros would not be enough to persuade him to sell Argentinian playmaker Javier Pastore.

The 21-year-old has started the new season in superb form, sparking talk of interest from a number of top clubs across the continent, but Zamarini is in no mood to sell.

He told Radio Radio: “Not even for 60million euros (would I sell), because I would still like to have a lot of fun with him.

“I don’t want to make money through football, it doesn’t interest me, so if I can I’ll keep him. I didn’t manage to keep Edinson Cavani, but I hope to do so with Pastore.

“Cavani wanted to leave after three years. In order to keep champions you have to raise their wages.”

Zamparini had said a fortnight ago: “He is the new Zinedine Zidane. He is very strong and complete, within two years he'll be worth as much as Lionel Messi.

“Real Madrid have asked for him, but I have already refused. I consider him unsellable.”
