28 July: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes he now has the right blend of strikers after completing the signing of Peter Crouch, while also confirming that Darren Bent is in talks over a move to Sunderland. Crouch, who has cost Spurs £9m, joins Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane while Bent is set to end his disappointing spell in north London.

27 July: Peter Crouch will have a medical at Tottenham Hotspur today after the club agreed a £12m deal which makes the England striker the club's biggest earner. Spurs have beaten off competition from Fulham to secure the services of Crouch, who will join up with Harry Redknapp for the fourth time in his career after agreeing a four-year deal.

26 July: Portsmouth manager Paul Hart admitted that Crouch was on his way to Tottenham, with Harry Redknapp apparently succeeding in reuniting the striker with his former Pompey partner Jermain Defoe with a bid of around £10m.

18 July : Peter Crouch will give Sunderland and Fulham a decision on his proposed £12m transfer from Portsmouth early next week with the Wearsiders said to be marginal favourites at this stage.
