Those looking for clues as to where Radamel Falcao will end up playing next season were served up a riddle last night when the striker became active on Twitter.
The Manchester United player, who is on loan from Monaco, looks set to leave Old Trafford in the summer with the Red Devils unlikely to take up their option to sign him permanently. Just four goals since joining the club has been a disappointing return and in recent weeks Louis van Gaal has relegated the former Atletico Madrid and Porto player to a peripheral role.
Speculation is mounting over where he will play next season, with Juventus among those thought to have made enquiries. Premier League sides Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with the 29-year-old.
Real Madrid can now be added to the mix after Falcao was spotted to have started following the Champions League holders on Twitter. However, just as speculators began reading into the Colombian's internet activity, he then unfollowed them.
Whether Falcao was sending a cryptic message or merely accidentally clicked the 'Follow' button next to Real Madrid isn't clear - but with so much interest in the striker's future it will only fuel speculation.
