Romelu Lukaku has appeared confirm that he will soon sign for Everton by retweeting Stan Collymore's good luck message.

The striker will reportedly sign for Everton for a club-record £24m transfer from Chelsea, with an official announcement set for 7pm this evening, when they have called a news conference.

Earlier on today, Lukaku cryptically tweeted that he was about to "write a new chapter" in his career.

The 21-year-old Belgium international spent last season on loan at Goodison Park where he scored 15 goals as Roberto Martinez's side finished just outside of the Champions League places.

The signing of Lukaku continues the Spaniard's summer strengthening after securing fellow loanee Gareth Barry on a permanent basis before Muhamed Besic joined from Ferencvaros this week.
