With just hours of the January transfer window remaining, Tottenham have emerged as the favourites to sign Saido Berahino.

The West Brom striker has been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns throughout January, with Spurs, Newcastle and Stoke among those pursuing the player.

West Brom have insisted Berahino will not be sold, despite the striker wanting to leave. Even earlier today assistant head coach Dave Kemp said so.

"I'm expecting him to be here. The chairman deals with that side," said Kemp.

Despite that assertion, the rumours have persisted and at the start of the day Newcastle were the favourites to sign the 22-year-old.

However, Tottenham have usurped the Magpies as Berahino's most likely destination according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Spurs started Transfer Deadline Day as 8/1 outsiders but are now priced at 5/2. Newcastle are at 7/2 and Stoke 16/1.

The window closes at 11pm.
