Stoke strikers are in demand

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is waiting to see if two of his strikers will still be at the club in 24 hours after reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Robert Huth's second half goal was sufficient to overcome Wolves at Molineux in the Staffordshire derby.

But two of the players involved in Tuncay and Ricardo Fuller are wanted by Wolfsburg and Sunderland respectively as the transfer window enters its final hours.

Pulis said: "The club have received a bid from Wolfsburg and the clubs are talking but we are keen to keep Tuncay if we can.

"With Fuller, I think our fans at Wolves were thinking this might be his last game. Who knows?

"Sunderland definitely made a bid. Is it not good enough? I'm not saying that. I'm just saying Sunderland made a bid and the clubs are talking.

"I sat in a room and listened to Sunderland make an offer for Ricardo Fuller. There hasn't been a new offer. It was an offer made a week ago."

Pulis saluted Thomas Sorensen after his last minute penalty save from Nenad Milijas and wants to sit down and discuss a new contract with the goalkeeper.

Sorensen has lost his first team place in recent months to Asmir Begovic and has not started a Barclays Premier League game since October.

But the Danish international proved his worth to earn Stoke a home meeting with Brighton in the last 16.

Pulis said: "Thomas has been brilliant. We are hoping to sit down and do a deal with Thomas to keep him at the football club.

"Begovic has been outstanding for us. As a young keeper, he has been outstanding.

"Thomas has been waiting patiently. He has been terrific today. That is what you want, good competition."

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is hoping newcomer Jamie O'Hara can make an impact after his loan switch from Tottenham.

O'Hara is poised to make his debut in Wednesday's Barclays Premier League clash at Bolton.

McCarthy said: "Jamie is a good player and will add quality to our squad and hopefully improve us as a team.

"He has been injured, he has recovered from that, and he is fine and needs a bit of game time.

"He is also a good personality around the place, a good positive signing for us."
