Tomas Rosicky hits out at Arsene Wenger, saying his situation at Arsenal is 'not funny'

Tomas Rosicky has hit out at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, saying that his current predicament is "not funny".

The Czech Republic international penned an season-long extension to his Arsenal contract in May, but has hinted that he will be assessing his future this summer.

The 34-year-old, who signed for the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, started only five Premier League matches last season.

"Since the moment Arsene Wenger used the option in my contract [to keep Rosicky for another season], I haven't been even on the bench," Rosicky said in the Daily Telegraph.

"I am laughing but it's not funny. It's frustrating but I am a professional. Even if you lose your place, you must be still prepared because the situation can change."

Rosicky has made a total of 242 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring 28 goals.

The midfielder is currently away on international duty with Czech Republic, preparing for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland on Friday.
