Tottenham could look to strengthen their squad in the summer to help manager Mauricio Pochettino reach his target of finishing in the top four and securing a return to Champions League football.

Spurs attempted to sign West Bromwich Albion in the summer only to see the Baggies’ chairman Jeremy Peace stand in the way of a move, and a last-ditch £22m deal was struck to sign Son Heung-min from Bayer Leverkusen instead.

The arrival of Son followed the signings of Clinton N’Jie, Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier, while England midfielder Dele Alli joined the club following a loan spell with MK Dons.

Harry Kane has had to carry the burden in attack for the bulk of the season so far, and if Spurs are going to strengthen it’s likely to be in the attacking department.

However, Spurs could be willing to let a few fringe players leave the club, too. With Andros Townsend frozen out of the first team following a row with one of Pochettino’s backroom staff, the England international could find himself on the move in January, while there’s certainly a few others who could follow.

So who could Pochettino look to sign and sell? Click on the gallery below to find out.
