Arsenal scouts reportedly chose the right match to watch Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen - they witnessed the 20-year-old score a hat-trick in the 4-0 victory over NAC Breda on Saturday.

The 20-year-old has been compared to the Gunners legend, his countryman Dennis Bergkamp in the Netherlands because of some outstanding performances for Ajax this season. He has already scored six goals in eight Eredivisie matches in this campaign.

Klaassen is yet to break through to the Netherlands senior team, but his form this season has seen many tipping him for a World Cup call-up.

Bergkamp, who became one of the greatest players to grace the Arsenal team, scoring 120 goals in 423 appearances between 1995 and 2006, also started his career at Ajax. He is now assistant manager at the Amsterdam Arena.
