Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has returned to old club Molde to sign Norway international Jo Inge Berget.

The 23-year-old joins the Bluebirds for an undisclosed fee and follows Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Mats Moller Daehli in joining the Premier League club.

Cardiff are also believed to be closing in on a deal to take Manchester United's Wilfried Zaha on loan and Fabio de Silva on a permanent basis.

Wigan Athletic defender Ivan Ramis is expected to join shortly.

Berget joined Solskjaer's former side from Udinese in 2011, but was due to be out of contract with the Molde in the summer.

"He knows the way I want to play, he's strong, intelligent, smart," said Solskjaer.

"He scored against England in the Under-21 European Championships and will do well for us."

The South Wales club travel to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday for their FA Cup fourth round clash at the Reebok Stadium.
