With Joe Hart still not fancied, and Costel Pantilimon failing to impress, could Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer solve Manchester City's goalkeeping conundrum? It has been reported that money-bags City will make a £40m offer for the towering German, and at least they'll get a good look at him tonight when the teams meet in the Champions League. Munich manager Pep Guardiola, though, is adamant he will not be sold.

Luiz Gustavo, the Brazilian midfielder who was constantly linked with Arsenal before moving to Wolfsburg for £16.5m over the summer, has now been linked with a move across north London. Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly meet his £20m buy-out clause.

The striking crisis that has cast a dark cloud over Upton Park this season could soon be lifted. Internazionale's Argentinian forward Diego Milito, who won the Champions League at Inter under Jose Mourinho in 2010, is out of contract at San Siro at the end of the season and could join West Ham in January for a reduced fee.
