Transfer news: Valencia consider loan move for Liverpool forward Iago Aspas - reports
The Reds may be willing to do a deal, but are keen on keeping Aspas in the long-run

La Liga giants Valencia are interested in taking Liverpool's underperforming striker Iago Aspas back to Spain in a short-term loan deal, according to reports in Italy.
The Reds signed Aspas for £7.7m from Celta Vigo last summer but the 26-year-old has made just ten appearances for the club.
The 5ft 9' striker, who netted twelve times in La Liga last season, struck his first goal for Liverpool in their recent FA Cup win against Oldham at Anfield.
However he has found his options limited at Anfield as the form of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, dubbed the 'SAS' partnership, has set the Premier League alight.
BeIN Sports Italia report that Valencia manager Juan Antonio Pizzi could look to tempt him back to his homeland with the lure of regular football.
Swansea were also linked with a move for Aspas , but Swans chairman Huw Jenkins does not expect a flurry of January activity from the Welsh club.
"At Swansea we try our best to do our business in the summer and to make sure our squad is more or less right," he said.
"There are times now and again when bringing in the odd player in January can boost morale, boost the team and get results and there's no doubt there are going to be a few clubs that do that before the window ends."
