Manchester United have been told by Paris Saint-Germain that they will have to pay a world-record fee of £112million if they want to bring centre-back Marquinhos to Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

The 20-year-old was bought for £26m from Roma in 2013 and is behind David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the PSG pecking order.

Despite recent speculation, United have confirmed that they did not bid £26m for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, with the Manchester Evening News stating that they are not in the running for the Argentine. The paper reports that United remain in the hunt for Mats Hummels, despite recent quotes from the Borussia Dortmund defender that state he wants to stay at the club.

The London Evening Standard report that Chelsea have told Fiorentina that they are only willing to pay £20.6m for Colombian winer Juan Cuadrado.

The 26-year-old has a buy-out clause worth £26.8m but that is seen as too high a price. Last night there was speculation that Cuadrado was at Anfield but those rumours are believed to be untrue.

Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle have both been linked with an exit away from Stamford Bridge and were left out of the squad against Liverpool.

Tottenham continue to chase Kevin Mirallas, according to the Daily Mirror, and will offer Aaron Lennon to Everton in exchange for the Belgian. The Sun reports that the Toffees are not interested in England.

Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel has told Bleacher Report he wants to play in the Premier League, hinting that he'd like to play for Manchester United.

The Metro report that Barcelona midfielder Xavi wants his side to sign in-form Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla and Manchester City's David Silva. The Spanish giants are not allowed to sign any players in either this window or the summer one because of their transfer ban.

Tottenham want £5m from Swansea for midfielder Tom Carroll, having already a agreed the same price for full-back Kyle Naughton. The Independent's Sam Wallace has the full story.

Arsenal have opened talks with La Liga club Villarreal over signing Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Paulista, 24, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The club's coach, Marcelino, has admitted that he could sell the player.

"I hadn't considered selling Gabriel, it's bad news from a sporting point of view," he said. "If both Gabriel and the club believe that his sale to Arsenal is the best for all parties, we will accept."

Blackburn have turned down an initial offer of £3.5m from Crystal Palace for Rudy Gestede, report the Lancashire Telegraph.
