Wayne Rooney agrees deal in principle to leave Everton for DC United
Rooney is set to pen a contract until the end of the 2020 season and move when the MLS mid-season transfer window opens on July 10

Wayne Rooney looks set to leave Everton for Major League Soccer side DC United this summer.
The 32-year-old former England and Manchester United captain only re-joined his boyhood club last year but now appears set to finish his career across the pond.
Rooney is set to pen a contract until the end of the 2020 season and the move could be completed when the MLS mid-season transfer window opens on July 10.
Rooney returned to Goodison Park at the start of the season on a two-year deal after 13 trophy-laden years at United.
He scored the last of his 11 goals for the Toffees in December with manager Sam Allardyce suggesting in recent weeks he could not guarantee him a regular starting spot next season.
At United, Rooney won five Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup and was named Footballer of the Year in 2010.
