Joachim Low will remain as Germany head coach despite their surprise World Cup exit.
Low, who only signed a contract extension until 2022 in May, told his bosses at the German Football Association he wanted to continue in the role after defeat to South Korea in the group stage produced their earliest departure from the tournament in 80 years.
He was told by officials he retains their full support and would be allowed to continue.

“We have had a very open and trusting exchange in which we have addressed many points, and we are all convinced that with Jogi Low we have a national coach who will analyse very carefully and take the right steps,” president Reinhard Grindel told dfb.de.
Low has been in charge since taking over after the 2006 World Cup, where he was assistant to predecessor Jurgen Klinsmann, and he insisted he wanted to be the one to head the rebuilding job.
“It was important for me after a few days of reflection to personally get in touch with the DFB leadership. My disappointment is still huge. But now I want to lead the rebuilding with full commitment,” Loew said.
“It all takes time, but everything will happen in time for the start of the new international season in September.”
