Colombia booked their place in the knockout stages of the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Senegal in Samara.

Yerry Mina’s header clinched victory for the South Americans, subsequently ending Senegal’s hopes of progress.

The result also guaranteed Japan a spot in the last-16 despite their 1-0 defeat by Poland.
