Fulham had their lead cut to four points as they drew 1-1 at home to Exeter, while second-placed Carlisle beat Hartlepool 1-0.

Terry Angus made amends for scoring an own goal at Craven Cottage by also heading Fulham's equaliser, while a one-sided game at Brunton Park saw Lee Peacock score the only goal of the game for Carlisle against Hartlepool.

Cambridge United and Wigan stay third and fourth respectively despite both of their games being postponed, while at the other end of the table continuing protests at the Goldstone Ground mean that Brighton's under- fire chief executive, David Bellotti, is yet to see a match under new manager Steve Gritt. Bellotti missed yesterday's 1-1 draw with Colchester and was also absent for the recent home wins over Hull City and Fulham.

Yesterday's game got underway with whistles all around the ground as supporters launched their latest protest against the club's owners.
