Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the 100m and 200m world champion, has been shortlisted alongside the New Zealand shot-putter Valerie Adams and the 400m hurdler Zuzana Hejnova of Czech Republic for the female Athlete of the Year award.

The winner will be revealed at the World Athletics Gala in Monaco on 16 November.
