Usain Bolt, the young Jamaican king of the sprint world, is coming to the Palace this summer. The triple Olympic gold medalist will run the 100m in the London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on 24 and 25 July – three weeks before he goes for gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the World Championships in Berlin. "I normally base myself in London during the summer so it's like a second home," Bolt said yesterday. "There will be strong competition but I guess that's what I'll need ahead of the World Championships." Last summer the London meeting saw Bolt win the 200m with a UK all-comers' record, of 19.76sec.
