The 400 metres world champion Christine Ohuruogu is to compete at this month’s Great North City Games. Fresh from winning gold in Moscow last month, the 29-year-old is to race over 150m in Newcastle/Gateshead on 14 September.

The Great North City Games serves as a prelude to the Great North Run, which will this year feature the double Olympic and world champion Mo Farah.
