Barada back for London
Ahmed Barada, Egypt's world No 3 who was stabbed twice in the back outside his home in Cairo in March, will make his comeback in London next month. Barada will return at the Super Series finals, where he was the losing finalist last year.
"Physically, Ahmed is back to full strength," his manager, Robert Edwards, said yesterday. "Mentally, however, he is still very shaken by the incident and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the situation.
"Ahmed's attack was not dissimilar to to that suffered by Monica Seles in Hamburg in 1993 and it took her a great deal of time to overcome the mental side-effects of the ordeal."
