Harrison's tougher challenge

Derek McCafferty, a plastic injection moulder from Kettering, has been selected from a cast of thousands to meet the Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison at the Olympia Theatre in Liverpool on 14 July.

McCafferty has won twice, lost three times and has not fought since December 1999 but he is the type of fighter that Harrison should have met last month because he is big and can fight.

Last week Harrison's management team insisted the next opponent would have a winning record and would be foreign but for once their deception is welcome because McCafferty, who is trained by the experienced Kevin Sanders, has only lost to good fighters.
