In a weekend when the weather took a toll of the Regional League games Worcester Norton took the opportunity of extending their lead in the women's Midland's Premier to seven points with a 5-0 win at North Stafford. Kate Draper scored twice.
In the men's South, where just two games were played, there was a surprise 1-0 defeat of the leaders, Old Georgians, when they visited Oxford to play the University. Andrew Armitage scored for the students. In the North, Ben Rhydding are enjoying a good season. The men, following a 4-3 win over Sheffield Hallam, maintained their lead at the top, while their women lead Timperley on goal difference, following a 3-0 victory over Driffield.
EH CUP Quarter-final draw: Men: Bowdon v Loughborough Students; Cannock v Beeston; St Albans v Reading; Teddington v Guildford. Women: Harleston Magpies or Canterbury v Olton & West Warwick; Ipswich v Slough; Southgate or Doncaster v St Albans or Liverpool Quilter; Trojans v Hightown. (Ties to be played on Sunday 16 February).
