Belfast Giants' away-day blues continued on Sunday when the Superleague champions lost 2-0 to Manchester Storm. Scottish Eagles ended a four-game losing run with a first league win of the season, 6-4 over London Knights.

In the Challenge Cup, referee Nigel Boniface dished out 145 penalty minutes, ejecting four players, as Bracknell Bees beat Coventry Blaze 6-4. Bracknell duo Mark Matier and Darren Hurley and Coventry's Kurt Irvine and Andreas Moborg were thrown out at the start of the third period following a scuffle.
