Five goals in as many minutes helped Sheffield Steelers beat Cardiff Devils 6-4 at the Sheffield Arena on Sunday night and maintain their lead in the Elite League table.
The visitors went 3-1 ahead early in the second period but Mike Peron's 32rd-minute shot launched Sheffield's fightback, Kevin Bolibruck, Dion Darling, Gerad Adams and Joel Irving - his second of the night - scoring in rapid succession to clinch victory.
Coventry Blaze maintained their unbeaten run with a 4-2 win over Belfast Giants to go clear in second place. Steve Chartrand gave Coventry the lead in the eighth minute, Steve Gallace making it two just before the break.
Ashley Tait and Gallace's second goal put the game beyond Belfast's reach but they staged a late rally in the final period, Paxton Schulte and Curt Bowen scoring consolation goals.
