Manchester Storm had Mike Torchia to thank as they recorded their first Superleague victory of the season on Sunday. The net- minder faced 46 shots as London Knights were beaten 3-2 at the Docklands Arena.

Pierre Allard and Joe Cardarelli put Storm 2-0 ahead before Dennis Maxwell reduced the deficit in the second period. The Great Britain captain, David Longstaff, sealed victory four minutes from time, with Vezio Sacratini's goal not enough to save London from their third straight league loss.

Sheffield Steelers continued their winning start to the seaon beating last year's champions, Belfast Giants, 1-0 at the House of Steel.
