Montjeu and Sinndar were among the 13 declared yesterday for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Montjeu, the 4-7 favourite, is aiming to be the first horse since Alleged (1977-8) to win a second Arc.

Godolphin's Mutafaweq and John Gosden's Commander Collins are the only possible British-trained runners. Germany is represented by Samum, the Grosser Preis von Baden winner, while other French hopes are Egyptband, the Prix de Diane winner, and Volvoreta, the Prix Vermeille winner. Frankie Dettori rides Hesiode for Jean-Claude Rouget.
