Detroit Pistons shooting guard Ben Gordon has confirmed his intention to play for Great Britain at the Olympics.

Gordon, 28, was born in London but grew up in New York and played for the US in the 2003 Pan American Games. He committed to play for Britain in the Olympics two years ago, but has still to pull on the shirt.

Gordon said: "I am playing in the summer and I'm really excited about it."
