Chad Dawson defeated Bernard Hopkins on points to take the WBC light-heavyweight title in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
There was controversy in this rematch – the first bout was declared a no-decision – when Dawson was cut above his eye and then almost threw Hopkins out of the ring. "I did what I came to do," said Dawson. "I got my belt back."
