Frankie Gavin seized the British welterweight title from champion Junior Witter with a unanimous points victory at York Hall last night.
Gavin's professional career has failed to live up to expectations to date due to personal problems and indiscipline outside the ring, but this was his finest win.
Extending his unbeaten record to 14 victories, the 27-year-old controlled the second half of the fight after working out Witter's awkward style.
