Amir Khan has ruled out the possibility of a rematch with Marcos Maidana, instead favouring Erik Morales as his final opponent at light-welterweight. Maidana, who lost on points in December despite giving Khan a ferocious battering in the 10th round, has attempted to goad Khan into accepting a repeat of their thriller by claiming the 24-year-old "begged the WBA in writing" to avoid him. "I've got bigger fish to fry," said Khan. "I really want to fight the winner of Morales and [Lucas] Matthysse."
