Boxing: Poxon calms Frampton talk

The British super bantamweight champion, Scott Quigg, or his next opponent, Rendall Munroe, may not fight Carl Frampton next, regardless of the outcome of their 16 June fight.

Richard Poxon, of Hatton Promotions, said: "Carl Frampton is a very good young fighter but if you look at the top 15 of any governing body you will not see Carl Frampton. Scott Quigg and Rendall Munroe aren't dependant [on him]."

Also on the bill in Manchester, Ryan Rhodes, Martin Murray and Richard Towers will make returns after recent defeats.
