Edvald Boasson Hagen won stage three of the Critérium du Dauphiné yesterday, while his Team Sky team-mate Bradley Wiggins retained the race lead. The Norwegian edged out Germany's Gerald Ciolek and Borut Bozic of Slovenia in the 167km stage from Givors to La Clayette.
Hagen said: "It's always nice to win. I came to the Dauphiné for working for Bradley but today other teams did the work at the head of the peloton. It was a good day for us with nothing to do until the very end of the stage, when Team Sky kept Bradley up the front and I could sit behind."
