Irish rider Dan Martin won the ninth stage of the Tour of Spain on Sunday, while Dutchman Bauke Mollema took the overall leader's jersey from Joaquin Rodriguez by one second.

Martin, who grew up in Birmingham, finished just ahead of Sky's Bradley Wiggins, in fourth, who nonetheless moved up into 13th place overall, a minute behind Mollema. Today's stage is a 43-kilometre (29-mile) time trial in the medieval city of Salamanca.
