Great Britain last night played in a women's Champions Trophy final for the first time, after beating Germany 2-0 in Rosario.

Goals from Sarah Thomas and Ashleigh Ball secured the final appearance and emphasised Britain's medal threat ahead of this year's London Olympics.

Great Britain met hosts Argentina in the final late last night. Argentina drew 2-2 with the Netherlands, but went through on penalties.
