Seven-times world champion Stephen Hendry compiled his second maximum 147 break at the world championship during his quarter-final against Shaun Murphy today.

Briton Hendry, 40, notched up his first 147 in 1995 and became only the second player to achieve the feat twice at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre after Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Hendry will collect £157,000 if no other player makes a maximum before the tournament ends on 4 May.
