Today

Remember when all the FA Cup quarter-finals used to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday? This year, zero. Today's "blockbusters" are Man City versus Reading and Stoke v West Ham. At Twickenham, try to wipe the grin off Andy Robinson's face if Scotland spoil the party in the Calcutta Cup.

Tomorrow

The high-flying Canaries welcome Bristol City to Carrow Road. Come on all you Norwich fans, Letsby Avenue!

Tuesday

Looking to join Spurs in the Champions' League quarter-finals (and who thought that sentence would be penned?) are Manchester United, who will be anxious to avoid conceding an away goal to Marseille. At the Cricket World Cup, the pluck of the Irish will be needed against the might of South Africa.

Wednesday

Chelsea should cruise through to the last eight against Copenhagen, while there's another mismatch in Bangalore – Australia versus Canada.

Thursday

Big game for England in Chennai (scene of their heart-stopping triumph over the Saffers) where victory over West Indies will hopefully give Andrew Strauss's men an easier quarter-final opponent. In the Europa League, Liverpool have a second leg at home to Braga, Man City host Dynamo Kiev and Rangers entertain PSV Eindhoven.

Friday

The draw for the quarter-finals and semis in both the Champions' League and the Europa League, while there is a tasty night of Super League action. Stone me, you could also watch the curling women's world championship in Esbjerg, Denmark. My colleague tells me he'd prefer to curl one out...

Saturday

Super sporting Saturday. England potentially go for a Grand Slam in Ireland while Man U (home to Bolton) and Arsenal (away to West Brom) are both in action. Also some relegation six-pointers as Aston Villa play Wolves, Blackburn host Blackpool and Birmingham travel to Wigan.
