Today

There may be no Tevez or Adebayor but the Manchester derby should be a humdinger. At Durham, the temperature is expected to rocket into double figures as spectators don their Sherpa Tenzing gear to watch Australia stuff England again.

Tomorrow

Durham is the venue again for Sir Bobby Robson's thanksgiving service. In the Ukraine, the final bell tolls for the women boxers at the European Championships.

Tuesday

A classic tie in store as Leeds host Liverpool in the League Cup while all those naughty Millwall fans will be grateful that it's Hammers supporters who are heading for Bolton on a Tuesday night.

Wednesday

It's only a short drive from QPR to Chelsea for a League Cup tie but, with his reputation in bits, Flavio Briatore might be tempted to give it a swerve.

Thursday

The final round of County Championship matches, with one-day kings Sussex looking in most danger of the drop.

Friday

It's Friday, it's Johannesburg, it must be the Champions Trophy. England begin another tournament where they won't get out of the group stages with a clash against Sri Lanka. As practice for the Singapore Grand Prix gets under way, we trust nobody will be told to crash for a good while.

Saturday

The "big four" all play again. Man United have a tricky trip to Stoke, Chelsea go to Wigan, Fulham host Arsenal and Hull head for Anfield. If you like your cricket with a volatile edge, enjoy India v Pakistan.
