Watch the moment a basketball player reassures a small boy after a mass brawl erupted on court
Tornike Shengelia approached the child after a mass brawl during a local Spanish game to check he was alright

A Spanish basketball player has apologised to a small boy after a local match descended into a violent brawl near the child.
Tornike Shengelia, 23, approached the boy who had watched the Spanish ACB League match between Bilbao Basket and Laboral Kutxa Baskonia, and in the video can be seen bending down and reassuring the child before returning to his teammates.
The young boy, who appears to have been sitting with his father, had been near the eruption of a courtside brawl after Baskonia player Mr Shengelia made contact with the Bilbao player Dejan Todorovic.
Reacting badly to the referee’s blown whistle, Mr Todorovic pushed Mr Shengelia, who retaliated by throwing a punch.
A mass brawl quickly ensued in the corner of the court, near when the young child was sitting.
Footage capturing the match shows how many of the players, coaches and staff quickly piled into the fray as some attempted to break up the fight – and others appeared to simply weigh in for the sake of it.
After officials had regained control, they reportedly ejected Mr Shengelia, originally from Georgia, and eight further players from the benches.
But before leaving Mr Shengelia took time to ensure the child was alright.
The home team Bilbao went on to win the game by 16 points.
