Racing: Ascot may be next for Noseda's Icon

Sixties Icon, seventh in the Derby, could run in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot - ground permitting. The Galileo colt, out of the Oaks-winning mare Love Divine, was having just his third career start when finishing five-lengths behind Sir Percy at Epsom.

His trainer, Jeremy Noseda, reports Sixties Icon to be in fine form after his Classic outing and is now considering the Group Two event over a mile and a half.

"Sixties Icon has taken the race extremely well," Noseda said. "A tilt at the King Edward VII would only come under consideration if the ground were good or softer. I was delighted with his performance. He was inexperienced at such a point in his career for the test the Derby presents.

Royal Ascot could also be on the agenda for William Muir's Enforcer after his two-and-a-quarter-length third to Shirocco in the Coronation Cup at Epsom.

The progressive four-year-old holds entries in the Prince of Wales's Stakes and Hardwicke Stakes.
